Genealogical Room
The Genealogy Room of the Belmont County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society is located in the Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library, 308 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713. After entering the library, the room is to the left of the circulation desk.

- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed

- Microfilm & Microfiche records of local newspapers, court & census records, Belmont County Children’s Home records, and Ohio Yearly Meeting (Quaker) records.
- CDs – Family Tree Maker, US Census records, and local county records.
- Library of books on topics including census, Military, Barnesville, Ohio counties, cemeteries, black history, Transportation, Native American, Ohio and other states, Atlases and maps, European, naturalization and immigration, Quaker and church records.
- An extensive collection of local family histories.
